This family had contacted me to set up an appointment for an outdoor winter family photo. When we saw last weekend had highs in the 40′s, we decided to set up the session. The frost hung around almost all day and made a great backdrop. We quickly grabbed some outdoor shots and then headed inside, even a “warm” North Dakota winter is cold for little ones.
I had the chance to meet up with the Suess Family the day before Christmas for a quick shoot while the whole family was home. With families quite spread out these days, it is so fun to see a whole family together, especially during the holidays! We lucked out with some great weather this day, can you believe how nice it has been? Here are a few pictures before I head out the door again!
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, my aunts and their families traveled up to Williston. While they were here, I had the opportunity to photograph them. We had a gorgeous day for photos and I always love shooting out at my Grandparents yard.

Often when I was in Jr High and High School, I would go to Colorado and visit during the summers….I cannot believe how grown up everyone is….that means I am older too:)!
I love the chance to photograph repeat clients! It is so fun to see the changes in the pictures! Last year Ellie was just a baby and look at her now! We had another COLD October morning for these photos, but the kids were great and the session went quick! Here are a few of my favorites.
Do you remember this darling family from last year? Megan is a photographer in the Bismarck area and we have become great friends over the past couple years. We email each other several times a week and I always look forward to hearing from her! This time we met up in Fargo for our session swap and although it was cool and windy, we still managed to get some great shots.

This was another fun session! Aren’t these two girls gorgeous? These two sisters just posed away as we explored the back 18 on a golf cart on one of the last warm evenings this fall.

This was such a fun session! This family was so nice to work with and we had another gorgeous evening. I have been photographing a lot of young families, so this session was a fun change of pace. During the session, I asked their mom if she had to bribe them with anything, she said, “Just food!”. This family contacted me a few months back about doing a session in their backyard when their new puppy arrived. This is the third corgi they have had since they have been married and this is an extra special one:) The shoot was just as much about the puppy as the rest of the family, it was fun to see how much they adored her. Thanks for the fun shoot and I hope you enjoy a few of the photos!
I meet up with this family at a park near Greenbush, MN. We lucked out with a beautiful evening and they even drove to their session in this 1948 Ford truck, which was lots of fun to use in the photos!
